Word of the Week

Here's an oldie but goodie vocabulary wordie.  It's a fantastic, yet practical, highly expressive word.


falderal:[fal-duh-ral] , noun  mere nonsense; foolish talk or ideas.  My oldest daughter is the queen of falderal.

"I've had enough of this falderal!  Clean your room!"

The best part of this word is the multitude of colorful synonyms: absurdity, baloney, bunk, craziness, garbage, gibberish, horse feathers, lunacy, nonsense, stupidity, twaddle.
Try this one on for size: Knowing it was total horse feathers, the girl told the merchant she really didn't like chocolate. or: She decided to forgo the dishes just this once; it was such twaddle.
