ReplyDeleteHer fears relieved almost at once when she noticed a faint alliaceous smell coming from his breath. In her joy it almost seemed like the most fragrant of perfumes! Her love was instantly redeemed of the towns outlandish accusations. This was no night crawler, no demon! The count was just an eccentric widower who found sleeping during the day in a coffin quite refreshing. And who takes notice if a few chamber maids go missing every now and again? It doesn't mean HE is responsible. And the 'fangs' are just an unfortunate genetic default passed down from his great, great, great, great grandfather...suddenly she recalled meeting the old fellow. How strange....
